Terms of Service
Effective from 2 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [[LEGAL_NAME]], [[ADDRESS]] ("we", "us"), which provides ShulkBook. By creating an account or using ShulkBook you agree to them.
1. The service
ShulkBook is software that helps tuition and coaching centres record student fees, prepare reminders, share UPI pay links and issue receipts. We are not a bank, payment aggregator or payment gateway. Fees paid by parents go directly from the parent's UPI app to the centre's own account; we never receive or hold that money.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract under Indian law.
- You sign in with a one-time code sent to your mobile number. Keep your phone secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- The details you give us, including your UPI ID, must be correct and belong to you or your centre.
3. Your data and responsibilities
- You own the data you add. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service.
- You confirm you have the right, and the parents' consent where needed, to add student and parent details and to message parents.
- You will send only fee-related messages that parents expect, and stop when a parent asks.
- You are responsible for confirming that a payment has actually reached your account before marking it paid, and for your own tax and accounting.
4. Acceptable use
You will not use ShulkBook to send spam, harass anyone, collect payments for anything unlawful, upload harmful code, or try to access another centre's data. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Free trial, plans and payment
- New centres get a 30-day free trial with all features.
- After that, a monthly plan is needed to keep adding or changing records. The plan and fee for your centre are agreed with you during onboarding and confirmed in writing.
- If a plan is not renewed, your account becomes read-only; you can still view and export your data.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Availability
We work to keep ShulkBook available and your data backed up, but the service is provided "as is" and may sometimes be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. WhatsApp and UPI are run by third parties and we are not responsible for their outages.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or disputes between a centre and its students or parents. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
8. Ending the agreement
You may stop using ShulkBook and ask us to close your account at any time. We may end or suspend the service with notice, or immediately for serious misuse. Data deletion after closure follows our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [[CITY]], Assam have jurisdiction. Please contact us first at hello@shulkbook.com or +91 [[PHONE]] so we can try to resolve any issue.
